Key Responsibilities
Guide Academic & Personal Growth
  •  Develop individualized academic and graduation plans aligned with student goals 
  •  Provide one-on-one and group counseling addressing academic, social, and emotional needs 
  •  Monitor student progress and conduct regular check-ins with students and families 
  •  Support at-risk students with targeted intervention strategies 
Drive College & Career Readiness
  •  Guide students through college applications, financial aid, and post-secondary planning 
  •  Organize impactful experiences such as College Day, Career Day, and field trips 
  •  Support dual enrollment pathways and career exploration opportunities 
  •  Build and maintain alumni networks to inspire current students 
Design Student-Centered Systems
  •  Collaborate on master scheduling and course planning aligned with graduation requirements 
  •  Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with policies and FERPA 
  •  Support intake, orientation, and ongoing academic planning processes 
  •  Monitor graduation progress and adjust student schedules as needed 
Support Whole-Student Wellness
  •  Identify and support students needing additional academic or social-emotional services 
  •  Coordinate SST, 504, and IEP processes in collaboration with staff and families 
  •  Connect students with internal and external resources to support well-being 
Collaborate with Community
  •  Partner closely with teachers, Academic Advisors, and families to support student success 
  •  Facilitate bilingual communication and inclusive engagement practices 
  •  Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development 
  •  Contribute to a positive, safe, and culturally responsive school environment

Requirements
Who You Are

You Must Have:
  •  A valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling
  •  A Bachelor’s degree in Academic Counseling or related field 
  •  Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  •  Flexibility to support both AM and PM programs, including evening shifts
