Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, located in Bakersfield, California, is an acute psychiatric and behavioral 90 bed facility situated on 8.8 acres.

We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The primary responsibility of the HR Assistant is to assist the HR Department with the upkeep of day-to-day administrative and clerical operations. The HR Assistant maintains the entire employee records filling system with impeccable organization and efficiency and documents all personnel changes in the daily people data sheets. The HR Assistant is "the face" of the HR Department answering the phones, assisting with walk-in questions, and assisting the HR Coordinator, Manager, and/or Director as necessary throughout the day. They resolve all clerical and administrative functions in the department and are hyper-aware of their surroundings, emotional intelligence, and organizational contributions with a first-class, people-first approach to work. 
The HR Assistant receives an hourly wage of $21 per hour to start and automatic merit increases annually thereafter. 
The starting hourly wage is non-negotiable.

Minimum Work Experience
We prefer the candidate to have some previous human resources experience, ideally within the healthcare field.  At least two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume office setting preferred.
