Job Description  | The HR Assistant provides essential support to the HR department in various administrative tasks and functions. This role is vital in ensuring efficient HR operations and maintaining effective employee relations.

Serves as point of contact for all visitors and employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and procedures. Completes intake and processing of all new employee required forms and processes, such as I-9 information, E-verify processes and background check compliance. Creates and maintains employee records and documentation in Banner ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Supports the maintenance and update of HR information in Banner with employee data and changes. Facilitates the new hire orientation process, including preparing materials and conducting onboarding with new employees. Assists in organizing training sessions for HR team; tracks and maintains training records. Assists in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures. Helps ensure compliance with labor laws and compliance. Processes routine HR functions such as employment verifications, providing documentation to employees as needed, prepare routing correspondence, filing. Maintains state purchasing card and is responsible for ordering office supplies and paying applicable invoices. Process encumbrances and requisition in Banner for the HR office. Generates reports as needed for HR metrics and compliance.

This position works 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday.
