Job Summary
Maintains and updates employee data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and serves as a liaison between Human Resources (HR) and Cleveland State University’s (CSU) colleges and departments. Provides administrative support in human resources functions, such as employment-related inquiries, recruitment processes, compensation, training, and benefits. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in HR, Payroll or other administrative areas.
  • Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and four (4) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HRIS experience utilizing queries, SQL and/or other software in a higher education setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and complete projects independently.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to successfully perform general math calculations and have strong calculation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to provide accurate, efficient and customer friendly service under constant deadlines.
  • Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
