Information Technologist II Full Description

Position Summary
The Michigan State University College of Education seeks qualified candidates for the following Information Technologist II full time position:
Design data solutions, organize and analyze data findings.  Implement and support data reporting and data visualization solutions.  Independently plan project work, analyze complex data sets, plan, develop and validate reports, ad-hoc data extracts, data dashboards, and external reporting deliverables.  Engage with stakeholders, conduct business analysis, and gather requirements.  Facilitate collection of data to address specific objectives, develop communication plans for disseminating data, build relations, develop presentations and training resources, participate in strategic planning initiatives.  Organize data findings and prepare reports.  Prepare technical and procedural documents, map processes, coordinate, review and validate analysis work, manage projects.  Supervise staff members and students.  Create summary reports and presentations.  Professional development, cross training, participate in hiring processes.
 
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Information, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related information technology field, and three years of experience as a Communications Specialist or related position in IT.  Must have three years of experience in Qualtrics, MS Forms, Power Automate, SharePoint MS Suite, Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, ProMAPP, VISIO, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social and Google Analytics. Telecommuting permitted.
