Job Summary
The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a IT & Business Systems Coordinator to provide day-to-day support for the Campus Store’s business systems and operational technology. This role assists with system support, coordination of operational tasks, and technology needs across retail, e-commerce, warehousing, and event environments.

The Campus Store operates on NetSuite as its primary business system (ERP), supporting retail, e-commerce, and operational processes. A key component of this role includes supporting point-of-sale (POS) systems, including NetSuite Point of Sale (NSPOS), particularly during events and peak operational periods.

Working under the direction of the Assoc. Director of Operations, this role follows established processes and provides an opportunity to build experience in systems, operations, and retail technology in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
• Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day system and process support requests
• Troubleshoot basic system issues and escalate more complex items as needed
• Assist with testing system updates, configurations, and process improvements
• Maintain organized documentation of processes, procedures, and training materials
• Support communication related to system updates and changes
• Provide support for NSPOS and related point-of-sale hardware across store and event environments
• Assist with setup, testing, troubleshooting, and teardown of POS systems for events, including athletics and campus activities
• Help ensure POS devices and peripherals are functioning properly during operations
• Troubleshoot basic POS issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams or University IT
• Assist with preparation and organization of POS equipment for events and off-site deployments
• Provide increased support during scheduled events and peak operational periods throughout the year
• Help track progress of active projects and maintain organized documentation
• Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating timelines
• Support tracking of tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups
• Maintain records of project updates and outcomes
• Submit and help track network-related requests with University IT
• Assist with maintaining device compliance records, including annual PIM (Protected Information Management) processes
• Follow established procedures to support compliance and documentation requirements
• Escalate issues or concerns to the Business Systems Administrator as needed
• Assist in coordinating the annual physical inventory process in partnership with WIS, the external inventory vendor
• Support inventory preparation, counting activities, and follow-up tasks
• Help track inventory documentation and reconciliation activities
• Provide day-to-day guidance to part-time student employees or interns
• Assist with assigning tasks and monitoring progress
• Support training on systems, tools, and procedures
• Communicate concerns or support needs to the Business Systems Administrator
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
Preferences
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 0–2 years of experience in operations, retail support, IT support, or a related role
• Relevant internship, campus job, or part-time experience will be considered
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn business systems such as ERP and POS platforms (NetSuite experience is a plus)
• Basic familiarity with workplace technology (computers, devices, peripherals, POS equipment)
• Experience in retail, customer service, or event support environments is a plus
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during events
