Information Technology Support Temporary Assignments Full Description

Duties and responsibilities: will vary depending on departmental needs. Duties may include but are not limited to providing assistance to server support, systems administration, and end-users relating to computer and/or networking problems. May also identify and analyze software and network related problems and recommend solutions for those problems, assist users in maintaining their desktop computing environment, troubleshoot web and e-mail problems, assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software, and design and edit web sites.

Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.

Required qualifications: may vary based on assignment. Candidates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills will be considered. B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent related experience; demonstrated computer troubleshooting and maintenance skills; experience with various programming languages; experience with HTML; must have strong communication, and organizational skills and the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.
