The Inside Sales Representative will be the start of the sales cycle of Certiport’s learning portfolio. They will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process by working closely with Territory Managers and Sales Leadership [ML1] [JC2] [ML3] [JC4] [ML5] . Closing sales and meeting targets is key to this position.


  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Following up with customers on learning curriculum usage.
  • Working with customers to provide additional training on learning curriculum as needed.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills including cold calling and e-mail.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to achieve targets both individually and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A good understanding of how to use CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Salesforce


  • 30% Working with and following up on learning curriculum leads. Reaching out to verify and qualify leads to pass on to Territory Managers
  • 30% Working with learning curriculum usage reports to follow-up with customers. Providing additional information and training as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • 0% Working with Territory Managers and other departments providing feedback to improve sales process and learning curriculum functions.
  • 5% Travel
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.
