About the team:
The regional sales team operates across Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, supporting Spanish and English products. Team members in Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico, and Chile collaborate to manage sales and coordinate internally. They prioritize communication and teamwork, working closely with other departments and following up on sales matters. Members have a flexible home/office setup and occasionally travel for meetings.
About the Role
The Inside Sales Representative provides operational and administrative support to the regional sales team, helping ensure smooth execution of sales processes and internal coordination. This role acts as the first point of contact for incoming sales queries, supports the escalation of opportunities, and assists in organizing promotional activities and managing sales tools. The representative also attends internal meetings with teams such as content, inventory, marketing, and customer service to ensure alignment and timely follow-up on sales-related matters. The position is full-time, permanent, based in Spain, with a home/office-based arrangement and occasional travel.
Responsabilities:
Provide day-to-day support to the regional sales team across various sales activities.
⢠Act as initial contact for incoming sales queries and escalate appropriately.
⢠Assist in the processing of smaller sales opportunities via Customer Services.
⢠Coordinate the distribution and tracking of inspection copies.
⢠Support the planning and execution of promotional events and campaigns.
⢠Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure promotional materials are aligned and effective.
⢠Attend internal meetings with content, inventory, operations, and other teams to follow up on sales-related actions.
⢠Maintain accurate records of interactions, feedback, and promotional activities in the CRM system.
⢠Assist with administrative tasks such as documentation filing, distribution of promotional tools, and coordination of regional book fairs.
⢠Upload new title information to distributor and bookseller platforms.
⢠Liaise with internal departments including editorial, credit control, and customer services.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communication, or a closely related discipline.
Proven background in sales support, customer service, or administrative functions.
Experience within the publishing industry or collaboration with sales teams is highly desirable.
Understanding of CRM platforms and internal coordination workflows.
Fluent in Spanish (native level) and highly proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experienced with CRM tools such as SLX.
Comfortable engaging in cross-departmental meetings and ensuring follow-up on assigned actions.
Strong analytical abilities to assess feedback and interpret sales-related data.
Proactive, flexible, and solutions-driven approach to work.
