Instructional Aid Senior Coordinator Full Description

The Instructional Aid Coordinator will facilitate peer-led team learning (PLTL) workshops for the introductory Biology 1113.02 and 1114.02 courses. This position serves as a mentor to student peer leaders by running a 2-hour weekly leader meeting and by reviewing and editing workshop materials for the upcoming week to prepare the student leaders. The role evaluates peer leader performance through observation and provides feedback to the student peer leaders, the PLTL course coordinator, the Assistant Director, and the Director of the CLSE about weekly progress. The role also assists the PLTL coordinator with developing and running new workshops, testing suggested modifications to existing workshops, designing professional development training for student peer leaders, and conducting pedagogical research related to the PLTL program in CLSE.

Required
High School Diploma or GED. Experience with peer-led team learning is required.

Desired
Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science is desired.
