Description
The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and continuous quality improvement of courses within the company Learning Library LMS. This role collaborates closely with company staff and member volunteers to support ongoing innovation in teaching and learning strategies.

This position may be hybrid. In-person participation at several on-site events each year is expected.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, Educational Media, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field. Equivalent training, experience, or certification will be considered. Instructional Design certification is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in course design and development, multimedia and eLearning tools, LMS management, and direct collaboration with stakeholders to enhance instructional strategies and educational technology integration.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with LMS management software.

Intermediate working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.

Intermediate proficiency with company technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, project management software, and Google Workspace.

Skills and Competencies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the design, development, revision, and maintenance of course content and assessments in the company Learning Library LMS.

Manage the company Online Learning Committee and support course content creation.

Ensure course content accuracy and manage ongoing course reviews.

Collaborate with the company Learning Library LMS Programmer to ensure technical integrity.

Review course content and materials to ensure accessibility for all users.

Participate in the ongoing evaluation of LMS software and technical compliance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Secondary Duties

Collaborate on additional Department of Education and Scientific Affairs educational projects as requested.

Contribute to and participate in educational activities and committee functions at the company National Meeting.

Participate in other conferences, meetings, and events, including delivering presentations or webinars as needed.
