The Instructional Designer supports LaBella Associates’ Talent Development function by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality eLearning and enablement solutions that strengthen employee capabilities and align with the firm’s strategic goals.
This is a hands-on role suited for a creative and future-focused thinker who adapts quickly, keeps pace with modern learning trends and technology, and leverages a variety of authoring tools to build engaging, digitally accessible learning experiences.
This is an early-career opportunity that includes regular in-office collaboration and requires the ability to commute to the Rochester, NY office weekly.
Duties:
1. Design & Develop eLearning & Enablement Solutions
Design, develop, update existing, and maintain high-quality eLearning and enablement solutions using the ADDIE model, design thinking, and adult learning principles. Create a variety of modalities including interactive eLearnings, videos, instructor-led content, facilitator guides, job aids, and performance support tools that align with organizational needs, reflect LaBella’s Core Values, and promote measurable capability growth.
2. Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & Stakeholders
Collaborate with SMEs, HR, and business leaders to conduct needs and gap analyses, define learning objectives, and translate technical or complex information into clear, effective learning and enablement experiences. Build strong relationships across teams to ensure training solutions are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.
3. Manage eLearning & Enablement Solution Projects
Serve as project lead on multiple concurrent eLearning initiatives, using agile or waterfall methodologies to plan timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure on-time delivery. Monitor project scope, milestones, and risks, providing proactive problem-solving and communication to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
4. LMS Support, Administration, Content Creator
Act as an LMS administrator by uploading and organizing content, assigning learning, running reports, and troubleshooting system issues. Ensure a seamless learner experience by maintaining accurate course data, supporting end users, and optimizing the LMS to enhance training accessibility and engagement.
5. Evaluate Training Effectiveness
Measure the impact of eLearning solutions using data, learner feedback, assessments, and models such as Kirkpatrick to validate knowledge transfer and performance outcomes. Identify trends, recommend improvements, and refine programs to ensure continuous enhancement of learning effectiveness and organizational ROI.
Requirements
• 1-3 years of work-related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Information Technology, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Education
• Instructional Design, Design Thinking, Project Management, assessment certifications (such as Kirkpatrick) preferred
Salary Range: $55,000 - $68,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
