About this PositionThe Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing training content for digital experiences for Primerica representatives and clients, working closely with product, content strategy, marketing, and legal teams.  You will distribute digital training materials for internal and external use, consistently monitoring the efficacy of training and updating as required/needed.

Salary range between $80 - $90K Annual

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Required qualifications
  • Conduct research and collaborate with subject experts on the product teams and others as applicable (legal, marketing, etc.).  Define and document learning objectives for digital training.
  • Create material, courses, curriculum, job aids, guides, etc. for learning.  Develop engaging scripts for training videos and learning materials. Create visual, audio and interactive learning tools to match learner's needs.  Design to optimize learning as users navigate a digital experience.  Work with delivery teams to coordinate, plan and manage delivery of learning material.  Monitor efficacy of material and redesign/update as needed. Coach internal team and Field Sales talent in their roles for video taping.
  • Develop methods to provide feedback on training materials and methods to improve going forward. Track and share out success of materials by users.
  • With department management designs the focus, theme, agenda and activities for Primerica Field Training & Development events. Develops the supporting material for these events and assists in production of this material. Participates in the event.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to convey technical content to non-technical learners.
  • Teaching, writing, training or web designing experience required.  

Preferred qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in instructional design, educational design, communications, education or related field
  • A solid understanding of instructional theory such as ADDIE and learning management systems is beneficial to the position.  
  • Experience in instructional design is required.  
  • Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills. Ability to edit audio and video.
  • Creative approaches to learning methods and best practices.  Enthusiasm for learning.  
  • Comfortable producing in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at a time, strong communicator, excellent interpersonal skills, extraordinary attention to detail, ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with a helpful attitude and strong desire to learn.  
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and personnel.
  • Must be able to self-initiate activate and coordinate tasks efficiently.
