About the Role:
  • We are seeking a dynamic Instructional Designer to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of new enterprise tools and functionalities. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining the safe and reliable operation of our core business.
  • As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end training design, development, trainer enablement, measurement, and, in some cases, delivery of training activities supporting assigned workstreams such as Finance, Supply Chain, Asset and Work Management, and Business Applications. You will play a key role in identifying training requirements within your assigned workstream and cross-functionally, aiding in end-user adoption through training deliverables in the Utility integration and future ERP transformation teams and business change teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with ERP Training Developers, ERP/Business OCM, and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct training needs analysis and define training needs for stakeholder groups.
  • Design learning objectives for training courses/learning activities, create storyboards, and recommend appropriate delivery mechanisms.
  • Work with SMEs, project leads, and change specialists to design, develop, implement, evaluate, and revise curriculum and learning resources aligned with program goals.
  • Create and maintain a Detailed Development Design plan using the ADDIE process, managing timelines for SME review and input to maintain the development schedule.
  • Perform quality control of other Instructional Designers’ work.
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions with business unit trainers and functional team trainers in preparation for delivery, serving as a resource during training sessions.
  • Revise training as needed during initial feedback/pilot training to close any learning gaps.
  • Highlight areas of risks, dependencies, and constraints to the Training Lead and recommend mitigations.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and transition activities in functions and Enbridge’s learning organization to support the sustainment approach.

Scope/Dimensions:
  • Operate in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders across many Enbridge Gas functions and Enterprise initiatives.
  • Support Enbridge Gas in meeting enterprise objectives while ensuring the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy to our customers.
  • Responsible for a body of training development and scheduling to meet aggressive timelines.
