*JOB SUMMARY:
Galveston College is looking for a creative and collaborative Instructional Designer to join our Educational Services team. In this role, you’ll work under the Director and partner closely with faculty to design engaging, tech-savvy courses that enhance the student learning experience. If you have a knack for turning ideas into impactful course content, enjoy working with learning technologies, and are excited to help identify learning goals, develop instructional materials, and apply the latest tools and strategies—this is your chance to make a real impact in higher education.

*QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and three-year’s experience in Higher Education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and educational psychology.
  • Experience working with faculty in a higher education setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software, learning management systems (LMS), multimedia authoring tools, and educational technologies.
  • Possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain, demonstrate, facilitate and model the essential functions of the job to ensure quality customer service.
  • Possess the ability to think “outside the box” and manage change in a positive and inclusive manner and work effectively with ethnic, cultural and diverse student population.
