Description
This position functions as an Instructional Designer, under the guidance of the Lead Instructional Designer, responsible for designing new course and help content, and updating existing courses and content. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Instructional Designer to design and develop eLearning.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to create storyboards for sessions based on scripts, videos and written documentation provided by subject matter experts.
- Use eLearning software such as Captivate, create interactive eLearning modules.
- Update existing eLearning modules as directed to incorporate changes or new features.
- Upload course content to LMS.
- Ownership of the LMS queue to assign eLearning to new hires and new/existing clients.
- Maintain help content.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
- Work with Internal Departments to assess and maintain documentation (internal help center).
- Maintain and create content for our video library and edit as needed, in collaboration with the Lead Instructional Designer.
- Additional projects, as assigned.
Requirements
Competencies:
- Basic understanding of instructional design theories, methodologies and best practices
- Strong proficiency with graphic design and multimedia tools such as: Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, screen capture tools, Vyond (GoAnimate) and PowerPoint
- Project management skills proficiency, exceptional problem-solving and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Google docs, Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, YouTube, Screencast
- Healthcare and EHR experience preferred
Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
Experience Requirements:
- 3 years relevant experience in all phases of instructional design, adult learning in the workplace, development of teaching materials and designing learning activities.
- Exceptional experience in working with SME’s to translate subject matter expertise into usable and high quality training modules
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with an LMS
Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements:
- Ability to lift 5-10 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to utilize communication tools including computer, telephone.
- Significant amount of sitting and standing on a daily basis.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $75,000 per year
