 The Instructional Designer designs and delivers learning programs that drive adoption of nCino's products across customers, partners, and employees. This role develops eLearning modules, videos, and training materials by collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams. Working under senior guidance, the position focuses on executing enablement projects while building expertise in banking technology and instructional design methodologies.

Responsibilities
•    Develop learning modules, certification content, instructional videos, and interactive materials using eLearning authoring tools and design platforms under guidance from senior team members
•    Work with subject matter experts to create engaging learning experiences that translate technical concepts into accessible content
•    Update and maintain existing learning content based on product releases, system changes, and business requirements
•    Support enablement initiatives for customers, partners, and employees across product-specific and operational system training
•    Follow established quality assurance protocols, instructional design standards, and project timelines for assigned deliverables
•    Contribute to the development of bite-sized, self-help enablement content libraries for diverse audiences
•    Assist with gathering learner feedback and usage data to support continuous improvement efforts
•    Support facilitation of enablement sessions, webinars, or workshops as needed
•    Execute content creation tasks within larger certification and enablement programs
•    Build foundational expertise in assigned nCino products, banking systems, and instructional design methodologies
•    Communicate project status and coordinate with stakeholders under direction of senior team members

Qualifications
•    Undergraduate degree in education, instructional design, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
•    2+ years of instructional design, training, or related experience 
•    Basic understanding of cloud-based software platforms 
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools 
•    Willingness to learn banking/lending concepts and technical platforms
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences 
•    Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems 
•    Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies 
•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams 
•    Experience creating multimedia content including videos, graphics, and interactive materials
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred
•    Experience with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems (Elucidat, Canva, Descript, Adobe Express, Wistia or similar)
•    Experience facilitating virtual training sessions or webinars
•    Experience creating content for external audiences (customers or partners) in addition to internal training

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:$58,700.00 - $93,900.00
