Instructional Designer (Hybrid)

Compensation Range: $55 - 60 per hour
Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning, talent and people. As a Learning Experience Architect, you will leverage your learning design expertise in assessing, planning, designing and developing instructionally sound learning solutions that are engaging and innovative as part of a broader talent and learning strategy for our client.
This is a hybrid position in Merrimack, NH or Smithfield, RI. The contract is 6 months and may not extend beyond that.
Responsibilities:
- Create learner-centric experiences and content leveraging user-centered design with practical application, measurement, and sustainment.
- Maintain currency with the latest industry learning trends, tools and platforms and effectively implement insights and standard methodologies into program designs and solutions
- Collaborate across peers and stakeholders building strong trusted partnership aimed at building learning solutions that solve business problems and strategic priorities.
Qualifications:
- Ability to design and build learning experiences using modern graphic design, video and authoring tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite and dominKnow.
- Experience with video capture and editing.
- Familiar to the Microsoft Power Platform or Tableau.
- Strong in-depth knowledge and skills in instructional design including experience with creating learning strategies, deployment plans, and evaluation methods.
- Ability to identify and leverage an array of learning mediums and tools to drive impact and engagement.
- Experience using Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) to deliver skill and role-based trainings.
- Development and management of learning evaluation strategies.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated excellence in project management.
- Ability to build and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with diverse individuals and groups, both in person and virtually.
- Comfortable as a self-starter and able to act independently under general direction.
- 5 - 7 years of solution design and development experience in a corporate setting.
- Experience using learning tools to build rich, skill-building, experiences deployed through live delivery, Degreed, SharePoint, NovoEd, and SumTotal.
- Lead the design of learning solutions across critical skills and targeted roles employing strong adult learning principles, innovative learning modalities and technologies to transform the learner experience.
- Effective translation of subject matter expert content into practical, accessible and relevant learner solutions.
