Annual salary range: $90,292.80 - $108,388.80; benefits include pension, 401(k), medical, flexible schedule, and training opportunities.

About the Responsibilities The Instructional Designer will have the chance to craft the future of digital and classroom learning experiences by developing best-in-class training. Responsible for partnering with various Business Owners and Leaders to focus on the Crafts & Trades (CT), Administrative, Technical and Professional (ATP) Learning Programs for CAP employees. The Instructional Designer drives business results by collaborating with learning and talent leaders, and key stakeholders in the business to identify needs, design, develop and deliver appropriate learning in multiple (i.e. distance-based, on-the-job, virtual, micro and classroom) formats. This role is part of an ambitious, collaborative learning team that strives for flawless execution and aims to deliver outstanding training content to a diverse audience. This position entails managing all aspects of program scope/design/development/ implementation and evaluation of learning curricula in both distance-based and on the job learning environments for new and existing CAP employees. This role reports to the Learning and Development Manager and must have relevant previous experience in designing, developing and facilitating effective and impactful, formal web-based and classroom training solutions for adult learners. Some of the duties include:
Conduct training needs analysis based on employee competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities. Analyze data to determine appropriate development needs and develop instructional strategies and material to meet stated learning goals.
Author eLearning content using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, and similar solutions.
Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance instructional design processes, improve training effectiveness, and streamline project management tasks.
Develop practical and engaging materials for facilitators and participants, including presentations, job aids, video storyboards, simulations, and other resources aligned with the training strategy.
Efficiently manage multiple projects.
Monitor program material for accuracy and relevance, making updates as needed to align with current practices.
Apply adult learning principles, learning methodologies, and focused instructional design approaches to training solutions.
About the Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field.
At least ten (10) years’ experience consulting, designing, writing and developing adult, web-based and instructor-led content and curricula for learning/training, from concept to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity and desire of proficiency with video/photo equipment and editing software.
Knowledge of multimedia development skills such as graphics development and manipulation, template development, user interface design via Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
Familiarity with features and functionality of Learning Management Systems.
