As the Instructional Designer, you will work primarily out of our Corporate Office located in the McCormick Ranch neighborhood of Scottsdale, Arizona. However, this role offers flexibility and can be performed remotely within the state of Arizona. Occasional travel may be required to our various communities and locations throughout the Phoenix Valley.
You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:
- Create engaging and effective training programs aligned with the Mark-Taylor voice and brand, tailored to the needs of the property management team, including property managers, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel.
- Evaluate and update current training materials to ensure they are current, relevant, and effective, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and learners.
- Apply instructional design principles to create training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and performance support tools. Maintain brand consistency and quality standards across all design deliverables.
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials, using data and feedback to make continuous improvements.
- Leverage various educational technologies and learning management systems (LMS) to deliver and track training. Strong understanding of computer software used for planning, editing, and designing. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques and technologies into the design process.
- Ensure all training materials and programs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining an excellent eye for detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field.
- One-two years of work experience designing and developing web-based training for customers, preferably within a SaaS-based environment.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, graphic design software, and learning management systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
