JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include instructional design work with face to face, online and hybrid courses. This person will work with faculty and other subject matter experts to assist in creating dynamic, interactive college credit courses. The person in this position must have excellent writing skills, teaching experience, familiarity with online learning, curriculum design and ability to develop accessible instructional materials that are consistent with sound instructional design principles. This person should have experience with educational technologies web-based course management tools, including HTML. Experience with professional development, project management and other multimedia software would be helpful.The typical work schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with faculty and subject matter experts to design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials.
  • Design, develop, and test instructional methods and tools.
  • Design and facilitate training for faculty in instructional pedagogy
  • Complete and coordinate Quality Matters (QM) reviews.
  • Design, develop, and train faculty on course accessibility.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the department’s goals and priorities and monitor their achievement.
  • Share improvements and trends in instructional technology.
  • Promote academic excellence by researching and training faculty on relevant instructional trends.
  • Support faculty through curriculum design and development
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • 1 year of Teaching Experience

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Experience with a variety of design methods and tools
  • Background in instructional design
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Experience with a variety of instructional strategies and technology
  • Experience working collaboratively with instructors
  • Experience developing WCAG 2.1 AA compliant educational materials using LMS, HTML, Office, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Experience with creating and leading professional development/training sessions
  • Quality Matters Certifications
