Overview:
The Instructional Designer designs and develops instructional materials that support the learning objectives and training plans for Arrow Child & Family Ministries employees. This position applies instructional design methodology and eLearning development skills to produce engaging, effective learning experiences across multiple formats. The Instructional Designer works closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training solutions that meet state, licensing, and accreditation standards while advancing agency initiatives and emerging practices. Min: USD $50,000.00/Yr. Max: USD $60,000.00/Yr. Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct needs analyses, define learning objectives, and translate complex content into effective instructional experiences.
- Design and develop eLearning courses using industry-standard authoring tools, including interactions, assessments, and scenario-based activities.
- Utilize appropriate tools to plan training content, ensuring agency branding and leadership approval.
- Apply adult learning theories to create a practical and nationally consistent training experience that directly impacts employee success.
- Develop and implement learning solutions in appropriate formats (eLearning, instructor-led, blended) based on audience needs, content requirements, and business goals.
- Develop supporting materials for learning activities such as quick reference guides, FAQs, handouts, job aids, trainer, and participant guides.
- Maintain awareness of emerging instructional design methods, authoring tools, and technologies, and apply relevant updates to existing content and workflows.
- Research and apply corrections and improvements to the existing course catalog based on learner feedback, SME input, or compliance updates.
- Create, revise, and maintain course content within the agency LMS, including troubleshooting content issues.
- Ensure instructional content meets contract, licensing, and accreditation standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge, awareness and working relationships with social, educational, human services programs and other resources available to participants and their families.
- Develop knowledge of all programs supported by Arrow Child & Family Ministries including an understanding of the culture, values, principles, and practices.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field required. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on instructional design experience, including demonstrated eLearning development using industry-standard authoring tools. A portfolio of work samples may be requested during the hiring process.
