Instructional Designer Full Description

Spectrum is looking for Instructional Designers (ID) to support the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). AFSOC has a requirement for Operations Directorate (AFSOC/A3) support for courseware lifecycle development (create, update, maintenance, publication, and distribution), courseware analysts, courseware support functions (programming and system administration) and AFSOC headquarters operations analysts. 

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • The contractor shall work within the instructional design team (IDT) to create traditional courseware and/or transform traditional courseware into online formats in innovative and compelling ways that are of equal or greater effectiveness than F2F implementation of equivalent content. 
  • IDs refine frameworks, storyboards, flow diagrams, templates, and prototypes for course and curriculum design, work with faculty/SMEs. 
  • ID’s shall refine course instructional plans and detailed design blueprints, guide the conversion of traditional F2F courses to appropriate online formats, and collaborate with SMEs to assign content to available delivery methods to support desired learning outcomes. 
  • IDs collaborate with a team of educational technologists to produce and/or source multimedia learning objects (i.e., video, audio, interactive objects, simulations, animations and other forms of media), collaborate to determine course level assessment models and build appropriate assessment into individual courses; 
  • Participate in special projects as required. 

Requirements
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree in ISD or education preferred. Associate's degree in ISD or CCAF equivalent mandatory. 
  • Experience may be substituted for degree requirement that includes as a minimum five (5) years of LCMS/LMS experience. 

Desired Competencies: 
Special Operations experience preferred.
