Instructional Designer & Training Systems Architect Full Description

Job Title:  Instructional Designer & Training Systems Architect
Company: Scaling.com
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (U.S. only)
Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 (W2)

Build the Training Infrastructure Behind $100M+ Business Transformations
You’re not here to churn out training videos or digitize content. You’re here to build the most rigorous development and certification platform in the performance coaching industry—a system that prepares elite strategists to help our members 10x or more in three years or less.

We’re looking for an operator-level instructional designer with sharp systems thinking and strong tech fluency—someone who can architect a 30-day training program from the ground up in collaboration with our co-founders. You’ll be handed the content. Your job is to build the system that delivers it with maximum clarity, efficiency, and impact.

About Scaling.com
Most business programs help you grow 15–20% per year. To us, that’s stagnation.
At Scaling.com, we engineer 10x transformations in 36 months—and that’s the floor, not the ceiling.
We help entrepreneurs restructure how they think, operate, and scale using the world’s first science-based methodology for exponential growth: the Scaling Framework™, created by Dr. Benjamin Hardy and Blake Erickson and featured in the upcoming book The Science of Scaling.

Our flagship coaching program combines strategic psychology, proven execution frameworks, and elite coaching to help founders turn the impossible into the inevitable. This isn’t a course. It’s a full-scale transformation platform—and we’re just getting started.

You'll Work Directly On
  • Building the complete training and certification infrastructure that shapes every strategist we hire
  • Translating the Scaling Framework™ into live, self-paced, and hybrid training experiences
  • Creating performance-based learning systems that combine live instruction, case study analysis, role-playing simulations, and real-world application
  • Establishing quality control systems that ensure every strategist delivers consistent, transformative client results
  • Designing ongoing development programs and peer learning networks for certified strategists

What You'll Do
  • Design comprehensive onboarding systems for new Scaling Strategists
  • Create learning modules, scripts, assets, and assessments from our proprietary content
  • Build adaptive learning paths that respond to individual strategist strengths and development needs
  • Integrate everything into our LMS with logical flows and intuitive user experience
  • Track strategist progress, certification status, and post-training performance
  • Build toolkits, SOPs, and support resources that drive consistent delivery
  • Create assessment frameworks that measure strategic thinking and client transformation capabilities
  • Build performance tracking systems that correlate strategist development with client outcomes
  • Partner with leadership to define outcomes, iterate content, and evolve systems

Why This Role Matters
Our strategists work with serious founders scaling toward $10M, $100M, even $1B outcomes. Your job is to ensure that every strategist is trained, certified, and equipped to deliver transformation at the highest level—consistently, confidently, and in perfect alignment with our framework.

Starting salary is $140,000, with opportunity to earn up to $200,000 after six months based on exceptional performance and results.

Requirements
(Non-Negotiable)
  • You’ve built learning systems that actually work—measurable and consistent outcomes, not just engagement
  • You have instructional design experience for high-caliber adult learners or professionals
  • You’ve implemented or administered LMS or training delivery platforms
  • You think like a systems architect and communicate like an operator
  • You’re obsessive about user experience, clarity, and retention
  • You take initiative, ship fast, and solve problems without waiting to be told
  • You bring structure and discipline to ambiguous or complex projects
  • You live and work in the U.S. and do not require sponsorship

Bonus Points If…
  • You’ve trained consultants, coaches, facilitators, or executive leaders
  • You’ve worked in a high-touch, performance-driven service business
  • You’re fluent in psychology and learning science—or hold an advanced degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology
  • You already understand—or are excited to master—our proprietary Scaling Framework™

Benefits
  • Paid Time Off – Includes vacation days, sick leave, and company holidays
  • Remote Work Flexibility – Work from the location of your choice (U.S.-based) with the structure, autonomy, and support to thrive

If You’re Ready to Apply
We’re not looking for resumes from course creators and curriculum generalists. We're looking for a systems thinker who knows how to design the training infrastructure to create the most effective coaching training and certification in the industry.
If that’s you, apply now. We’re hiring immediately.
