Instructional Support Specialist Full Description

Catapult Learning is hiring an Instructional Support Specialist to coach teachers in Philadelphia, PA non-public schools. This part-time position (1-2 days/week) supports teacher practice through coaching and professional development, at a pay rate starting from $65/hour.

Responsibilities:

Conduct model lessons, classroom observations, and provide "next step" support for teachers
Support teachers with classroom management techniques, resources, and toolkits
Support classroom teachers by co-planning or co-teaching, then reflecting and debriefing together
Provide leadership, support, and assistance to all classroom teachers for skillful instruction
Understand and support the Danielson Framework
Assist teachers in building an interactive classroom environment focused on curricular content and learning strategies
Serve as a resource in identifying instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement
Assist schools with understanding student achievement goals using baseline/historical testing data
Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed
Maintain documentation of work with teachers and complete all required paperwork in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Valid PA Instructional II teaching certificate
Master's degree in education or related field
At least two years' experience as a Curriculum Coach or similar position preferred
3 years teaching experience, including experience in a high school setting
Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software
