Instructional Systems Designer

The Opportunity:
Do you want to develop training that will transform the Department of Defense (DoD)? As an instructional designer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in the DoD by crafting effective training.
On our team, you’ll work with SMEs to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll design performance support tools, interactive courseware, and Technical Manuals (TMs) or Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). You’ll build training material with graphic artists, software developers, and QA specialists following the ADDIE and SAM models.
You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new instructional design ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including gamification to shape a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs and stakeholders throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students.

Work with us as we improve the experience of the warfighter through learner-centered instructional design.

  • Ability to translate technical content, such as systems information, operational and maintenance procedures, or interviews into instructional or technical manual content
  • Ability to pivot between working several different product lines or unique projects at one time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
