Essential Job Functions | The Instrument Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory of musical instruments for the University School of Music. This role includes tracking instrument inventory, addressing method class instrument needs, assessing and coordinating repairs with repair shops, assisting with large locker assignments, and maintaining and purchasing schedules to meet program requirements. The coordinator will also conduct a Spring semester audit and oversee yearly inventory procedures.
Track and manage the inventory of musical instruments. Address method class and ensemble instrument needs. Assess instrument repair needs and coordinate with repair shops. Develop and maintain maintenance and purchasing schedules. Conduct Spring semester audits and yearly inventory procedures. Assist with Marching Band or Camp instrument needs during weekends and evenings as required. Assist with assigning large lockers based on student requests received.
Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of inventory best practices and inventory systems. Basic computer skills. Ability to perform minor instrument repairs. Working knowledge of musical instrument families.
Work Schedule/Hours | Hours will typically be 8 am to 12 pm M-F. Some weekends and evenings required for assisting with Marching Band or Cannon Music Camp instrument needs
