Pay Range Information  | Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

 Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary  | The Integrated Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing & Strategy, plays a key role in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive enrollment, brand awareness, and audience engagement. This position supports institutional partners in translating goals into actionable, measurable campaigns. With a strong emphasis on campaign and project management, the role involves overseeing the marketing campaign lifecycle, coordinating across internal teams to ensure timely and brand-aligned execution, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with university branding, goals, and objectives. Additionally, the manager collaborates on market research and performance analysis, using data insights to optimize strategies and inform future marketing initiatives.

This position is in person in Orange, CA and the candidate will be expected to be in the office 3-5 days a week.

Responsibilities  | Marketing Strategy & Planning Support the development of integrated marketing plans for enrollment, brand awareness, and engagement goals. Support market research efforts to inform decision-making, identify market trends, assess competitors, and guide messaging and campaign strategies. Foster strong relationships with campus partners and support the translation of partner goals into actionable marketing plans with measurable KPIs. Collaborate with internal SMC teams to develop content strategy across digital ads, social media, web, news, email, and other appropriate channels based on the marketing plans. Build and maintain media vendor/agency relationships to support marketing needs, media planning, and advertising options, including print, outdoor, email, social and digital. Act as a steward of the Chapman University brand and as the liaison between internal teams and campus partners. Ensure that campaign messaging and creative align with the university brand and audience needs. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for other team members and campus partners regarding marketing strategy development and implementation. Partner with the Director, Integrated Marketing & Strategy in leading cross-functional campaign planning meetings and providing direction on messaging, channels, and creative.

Campaign Planning, Execution & Project Management
Manage the lifecycle of marketing campaigns from kickoff to completion utilizing the project management system. Create and maintain project plans, timelines, task lists, and milestone tracking. Actively monitor progress, resolve bottlenecks, and escalate risks when needed. Implement and refine processes to streamline campaign execution and collaboration. Support intake, prioritization, and resource allocation for marketing requests. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including web, content, creative, analytics, and others to ensure deliverables are met. Develop marketing content, webpages, creative assets, and other materials as needed. Develop and maintain marketing documentation, including briefs, plans, templates, and best practices. Partner with the Director, Integrated Marketing & Strategy in leading status meetings and campaign check-ins with internal and external partners.

Support other duties for SMC as assigned.
Required Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, data analytics or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing and/or communications role. Proven ability to plan, prioritize multiple projects, and complete them in a timely manner. Experience working with and maintaining relationships with external agencies and vendors for marketing purposes. Strong writing and editing skills, including the proven ability to prepare and proofread clear, concise and grammatically correct business correspondence and other documents. Experience in CRM tools and working knowledge of managing website content using content management systems. Experience in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio. . Experience in social media platforms and their advertising tools (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads Manager etc.) and UTM tracking. Extraordinary skills in organizing and planning, problem analysis and problem solving. Understanding and experience of SEO, keyword research and tools like moz.com, ahrefs and/or SEMrush . Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and measurement capacity. Strong technical skills to learn enterprise systems, software and tools. Solid knowledge of web environments with the ability to conduct test and pull web analytics. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Understanding of paid media with emphasis on digital marketing and media. Excellent communications skills and time management. Ability to follow policies and procedures for Chapman University and the department; able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels, both inside and outside the university. Strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Desired Qualifications  | Experience in media selection and web accessibility standards/guidelines. Experience in higher education marketing preferred. Experience using market research tools preferred. Entrepreneurial, self-starter with tact and diplomacy skills.
