Job Description 
Virginia Highlands Community College serves our community by providing quality and affordable education, training, and cultural activities through an array of flexible, diverse programs that enable community members to succeed today and in the future.

Hourly IT support to provide telephone and in-person IT assistance to all VHCC employees, students and patrons during evening hours Monday to Thursday and during day on Friday. Will also provide coverage in the evening for the VHCC Library Circulation desk assisting patrons with any library requests.

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Excellent customer service skills and experience working in a high-volume customer service environment, in order to assist students and general public. Practices regular and reliable attendance. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Proficiency in the use of technology and utilizing word processing, spreadsheets and database software as well as common software programs.

Additional Considerations  | Ability to learn new software programs. Strong organizational and decision-making skills. The ability to work without direct supervision and apply standard procedures in the absence of a supervisor.
