Primary Purpose of Position  | This position is responsible for administering and maintaining orderly operation of the North Carolina A&T State University, Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics’ technology throughout Craig and Merrick Halls inclusive of computer labs, classrooms, conference rooms, faculty and departmental offices, centers (e.g. the Financial Trading Room and CEEI), and common areas.

The IT Instructional/Classroom Support Professional is required to work closely with other Deese College of Business and Economics’ technology support technicians as well as the University’s Client Technology Services’ staff. This position reports to the Dean of the Deese College.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit  | N.C. A&T is a public, land-grant, doctoral research institution, and has been the largest historically Black university in the country for the past decade. With an enrollment of 14,311 students in Fall 2024, the university offers 59 undergraduate degree programs, 36 master’s programs, and 12 doctoral programs. Minimum Requirements  | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.

Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of hardware, software, operating systems, and network protocols.

Proficiency with productivity tools such as M/S Word, Excel; with presentation tools (PowerPoint, Prezi); and various software and applications used in a college of business.

Proficiency with Visual BASIC (or other programming language(s)), with managing operating systems, and with database management.
