We are seeking experienced K-12 educators with deep knowledge of Texas mathematics instruction and the TEA approval process to complete and/or review Quality Rubrics and Suitability Rubrics for mathematics courses.

What You'll Be Doing...
  • Complete Quality Rubrics for assigned mathematics courses, providing evidenceand detailed justifications
  • Review and validate Quality/Suitability Rubrics completed by others for accuracy and alignment to TEA standards
  • Analyze instructional materials for alignment to TEKS, instructional quality, and usability
  • Document findings clearly and comprehensively with specific evidence citations
  • Meet established deadlines for rubric completion and review
  • Participate in calibration sessions and quality checks as needed

What We're Looking For...
  • Minimum 3-5 years K-12 teaching experience in Texas public schools
  • Strong familiarity with TEA instructional materials approval process and rubric requirements
  • Expertise in Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for mathematics
  • Deep understanding of high-quality mathematics instruction and curriculum design
  • Proven ability to evaluate instructional materials against established criteria
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications...
  • Previous experience completing TEA Quality or Suitability Rubrics
  • Curriculum development or instructional coaching background
  • Experience with multiple grade levels (elementary, middle, and/or high school math)
  • Familiarity with various mathematics curricula and programs used in Texas

Hourly compensation range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
