Language Arts Curriculum Designer, Print & Instruction Full Description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as a Language Arts Curriculum Designer and help shape our exceptional K–8 language arts content. #LI-FA1

As a Language Arts Curriculum Designer for the IXL Print & Instruction team, you’ll design engaging worksheets and activities for elementary and middle school language arts (Grades K–8). You’ll also assist with the development of a series of K–5 multi-subject workbooks, coordinating content creation and reviewing content from contract writers. Your strong writing skills, educational insight, creative solutions, and commitment to quality will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students.

This is a full-time position in our Raleigh, NC area office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Design clear, engaging, high-quality language arts worksheets and activities for elementary and middle school language arts (Grades K–8) for Education.com
  • Coordinate and review content, ensuring that content is effective, well written, fun, accurate, and age appropriate
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, and graphic designers to produce these materials 
  • Edit materials for grammar, style, accuracy, and text level

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Experience with elementary and/or middle school language arts instruction or curriculum development
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Can-do attitude with an openness to others' ideas
  • Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Interest or experience in graphic design is a plus
