Lead Business Analyst Full Description

Position Summary:

The School of Professional Studies is looking for an individual to serve as the Lead Business Analyst who will act as the primary project lead to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business and operations systems that meet and support operational, tactical, and strategic needs of the School.. This role will combine supervision of the Sr Institutional Research Analyst, with hands-on development work. Manage the implementation of information systems creating the foundations for data collection necessary to support the SPS data & analytics strategic goals.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience:
5+ years Experience leading a small to medium-sized team in (BI related) projects. Proven experience with Salesforce, data warehousing/relational databases, ETL tools and technology, reporting tools (SQL, Tableau, Oracle, and Alteryx preferred). Will consider experience with other similar tools. Strong communication skills. Able to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend the best case solution.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven ability to work directly with users and management to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build good relationships and rapport. Entrepreneurial mindset ability to take ownership and deliver end-to-end solutions. Ability to create data flow charts and diagrams; develop policies and procedures and the supporting documentations. Ability to create user manuals as well as to conduct training sessions. Ability to collect/retrieve, merge, review, clean, organize, synthesize, validate and summarize data.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
