About the Opportunity
Ellucian Company LLC has a fulltime opening for Lead Cloud Engineer in Reston, VA Remote/telecommuting benefits available - may work from home. Duties are to provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of cloud engineers. Design, implement, and maintain scalable reliable cloud architectures. Work with CI and CD tools using gitops methodologies. Lead development and oversee new automations that will be used across our fleet of instances of servers and containers. Lead collaborate efforts with cross functional teams. Manage and Lead projects in Jira from both a technical and non-technical perspective. Accelerate our multi cloud solution with Amazon and Microsoft Azure. Implement best practices for Kubernetes for a scalable complex environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Computer or Software Engineering or in an IT or Software related field (higher degree will be accepted but not a minimum requirement). Plus 5 years progressive & post-bachelor's experience in IT position in Cloud Computing environment. Experience must include: 5 years in the following: using AWS or Azure; in developing and deploying automation and scripting using multiple tools; working with CI/CD tooling; 2 years in the following: with Kubernetes working in a CI/CD pipeline; using Puppet, Chef, Salt, Gradle, TravisCI, GitLab, JavaScript, Packer, Perl; 3 years in collaborating with cross functional global and remote teams with diverse backgrounds.
