| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Learning and Development Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that support employee growth, compliance, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with HR, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering to align learning initiatives with strategic goals and workforce development needs.
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Manufacturing Course Development
- Lead the creation of role-specific training modules for manufacturing positions, including technical skills such as Fanuc robotics, GD&T, hydraulics, gauges, and forklift operation.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to map processes and translate them into structured training content.
- Develop training matrices that define required skills, frequency of retraining, and effectiveness benchmarks for each manufacturing role.
- Coordinate with vendors and educational institutions to build career pathways and upskilling programs tied to pre-hire assessments.
- Implement just-in-time training aligned with PMO stages and production readiness milestones.
Training Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and execute learning strategies that address skill gaps and support career development.
- Develop in-person and virtual training sessions across shifts, adapting methods to diverse learner needs.
- Create onboarding and orientation programs, including pre-hire assessments and train-the-trainer initiatives.
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Create engaging digital learning content, partnering with the Comms team for execution.
- Integrate multimedia, simulations, AI, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure training programs meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and audit readiness for all training activities.
LMS Management
- Work in conjunction with Head of Talent Management to maintain the Plant Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments and training metrics reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with HR, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering to assess training needs and align initiatives with business goals.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized training delivery and content development.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor training effectiveness using feedback, performance data, and operational trends.
- Refine content and delivery methods based on evaluation results.
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD, SHRM) preferred.
Experience
- 8+ years in training or program management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide training initiatives and manage cross-functional projects.
Skills
- Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in eLearning development tools and LMS platforms.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
