Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | This position will lead and manage the evaluation needs of the School of Medicine’s South Carolina Center for Rural and Primary Health Care. This includes developing and implementing the Center’s evaluation and impact assessments; directing funding program evaluations; meeting all external contractual needs; and providing supervision and management for the Evaluation division. The lead evaluator will work closely with the Center’s Directors to ensure the execution of all evaluation activities. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a master’s degree in area of research specialty.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials |
Preferred Qualifications | Prefer previous experience in program evaluation with both qualitative and quantitative methodology. Prefer strong experience in Microsoft package (including Excel, Word, etc). Experience with ArcGIS and/or Tableau.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Ability to establish relationships and work collaboratively with local , state, and federal agencies and associations. Ability to communicate effectively, with strong oral and written communication skills. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
Job Duties
Job Duty | In collaboration with Center Directors and the Research and Evaluation Team, design and implement a comprehensive evaluation and impact assessment framework for the Center and Center-funded activities. Aggregate quantitative and qualitative data, analyze outcome metrics, and prepare required reports, including the annual impact report. Provide technical guidance to Directors and Portfolio Managers regarding data collection methodologies and reporting strategies.

Anticipate program data needs and prepare documentation to support long-term goals and compliance requirements.
