Description:

The Paiardini laboratory at the Emory National Biomedical Research Center (ENBRC) is currently seeking a full-time Research Specialist, Lead to assist with NIH-funded studies on HIV immunology. Our research consists of utilizing simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)-infected non-human primates (NHPs) as a model of HIV pathogenesis to characterize viral persistence during antiretroviral therapy (ART) and test novel immunotherapies to achieve durable viral remission. Candidates with a background in immunology, virology, or pre-clinical animal models are highly encouraged to apply. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and two years of research experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Fundamental expertise in HIV/SIV immunology, animal models, and BSL-2 experimentation, including high-parameter flow cytometry, tissue processing, and cell culture.
Proficiency with data visualization tools (GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and/or RStudio)
Experience with NHP experimental models.
Background with BSL-3 standard operating procedures

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Time-limited, Remote position to work on data analysis and manuscript submission.
