We are currently hiring a Learning and Development Coordinator to lead the design, implementation, and management of training initiatives across the firm. This remote role will be key in transforming existing SOPs, onboarding materials, and subject-matter expertise into a cohesive, user-friendly training platform. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, tech-savvy professionals who thrive in building systems from the ground up and are motivated by the opportunity to support a mission-driven legal team through clear, consistent training and development.
What you’ll do:
- Training Program Design: Coordinate onboarding and continuing education across the firm by creating structured training materials for all roles, including attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, intake specialists, finance personnel, and file managers. Ensure all materials support a consistent, scalable learning experience.
- Knowledge Capture and SOP Translation: Conduct interviews with internal subject-matter experts to identify current processes and knowledge gaps. Translate this information into clear and digestible training modules that reflect best practices and are easy to maintain and update.
- Training Program Implementation and Management: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs using Trainual or a similar learning management system. Ensure that training modules are current, role-specific, and aligned with evolving firm practices and expectations.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track employee participation, training progress, and time spent completing modules. Deliver updates and reports to the COO and leadership team that highlight completion rates, learning trends, and areas needing additional support.
- Goal Setting and Accountability: Establish role-specific training milestones and timelines. Monitor progress to ensure team members complete training as expected, and proactively address delays or bottlenecks.
- Ongoing Support and Troubleshooting: Respond to training-related issues, provide troubleshooting assistance for onboarding challenges, and maintain an up-to-date resource library including how-to guides, FAQs, and process updates.
- Content Improvement and Engagement: Gather feedback from staff on training materials and usability. Refine content based on insights and ensure
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or instructional design. Candidates with a background in professional services or legal environments will be strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Trainual or comparable online training platforms is essential. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Slack, ADP, FileVine, and CRM systems is required. Candidates must demonstrate comfort navigating and integrating multiple tools to support training initiatives.
- Project Management: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects with precision and attention to detail. This includes developing timelines, tracking progress, updating stakeholders, and ensuring training materials are kept current and aligned with operational goals.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and professional communication skills are critical for this role. The ability to effectively engage with attorneys, leadership, and cross-functional staff is essential for gathering information, delivering feedback, and supporting adoption of training resources.
- Instructional Design and Problem Solving: Creative and resourceful approach to transforming informal or incomplete processes into structured, effective, and easy-to-use training guides. Demonstrated ability to fill gaps, simplify complexity, and make learning approachable and actionable.
