About The Centre

The Centre for Organization Effectiveness (The Centre) has been advancing the public good since 1993 by partnering with community-serving organizations in the public sector, the nonprofit space, and in the fields of healthcare and education to enhance the leadership skills of public servants and to create efficient, effective organizations.

The Centre has adopted a hybrid environment in which employees work traditional hours from a site of their choosing within California. The Centre team meets in person at least monthly for staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, and other purposes.

About The Position

The Learning and Development Manager (LDM) works with the Chief Executive Officer, program managers, contract consultants, and other personnel to plan, design, implement, and evaluate The Centre’s learning and development programs. The LDM will ensure that The Centre’s training programs remain relevant, impactful, and responsive to the evolving needs of public sector employees. This is a critical role in a small, agile team, and offers the opportunity to shape the future of public sector learning. The LDM will also provide direct client services.
