Learning and Development Operations Manager
Location/Schedule:
Typical hours are 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with some weekend/evening hours depending upon events/program needs. May be office based or hybrid option, flexibility required to travel for necessary meetings and trainings.
Your Impact: As the Learning and Development Operations Manager, you’ll be an integral member of our Learning and Development team, supporting the technical and logistical functions that keep staff learning on track. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our Learning Management System (LMS) - providing administrative support, developing content, and ensuring smooth implementation of learning experiences. You’ll also be coordinating and supporting staff training opportunities in a variety of settings, including occasional in-person sessions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Compliance staff to ensure all training standards are met across the agency, playing a vital part in our mission to provide trauma-informed care and healing.
Hiring Range: $54,000 - $60,000 annually - Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Candidates who meet only the minimum requirements can expect to start at the beginning of the range, while those with additional and relevant experience and/or advanced skills may be considered for higher starting pay within the range.

Education/Experience/Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, HR, social work, human services or related field required.
- 3+ years experience in learning and development, staff training, or LMS administration required.
- 5+ years training, compliance, or management experience in nonprofit, social services, or healthcare setting.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration strongly preferred; LMS platform certification is a plus.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including data management, troubleshooting, and content creation
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive, Classroom) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to design, coordinate, and support engaging training experiences both virtually and in-person
- Clear, courteous communication and a service-oriented mindset when interacting with staff, clients, and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail for maintaining training records, compliance logs, and annual training calendars.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, relationship-centered work in a child and family-serving organization
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Willingness to travel between agency locations as needed (valid driver’s license required)
Key Job Duties:
Learning & Development Operations
- Manage and maintain the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS), including data entry, content updates, user support, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate and schedule staff learning opportunities across all locations, including new hire orientation, annual training, and ongoing professional development
- Support the development and execution of the annual learning plan through logistics, data reporting, and training implementation
- Ensure compliance with training requirements across all roles and regulatory standards by tracking, maintaining, and sharing accurate training records
- Create and maintain an agency-wide training calendar and course catalog, working cross-functionally to gather and update training details
- Collaborate with the External Relations team to promote learning opportunities through internal communication channels
- Track and report attendance, certification expirations, and completed training using the LMS and other agency systems
- Assist in developing or curating training content and learning paths based on identified needs or requests from leadership
- Provide technical and logistical support for trainers and presenters, including room setup, materials, and IT assistance
- Participate in Train-the-Trainer sessions and deliver staff learning sessions as needed
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and agency information at all times
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff, clients, and community partners
- Collaborate across departments to support a unified, trauma-informed learning environment
- Represent Crossnore’s mission and values in all communications and training-related interactions
- Travel to other agency campuses and occasionally stay overnight to support training events
- Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with training and agency needs
