Job Summary
Support the development and coordination of complex projects delivered by the Learning and Development program to integrate them into a comprehensive training package. This includes focusing on the flow and communication of projects, writing, and editing content that accommodates diverse learning styles and fits the pace and style of the various learning and development modalities.

Duties & Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Editing
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and design team by scheduling and coordinating meetings and deliverables.
  • Support the design team with editing, reviewing, and revising curriculum content as needed.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in all documents and content.
  • Assist the L&D administration with project management scheduling.
  • Assist the L&D administration in developing and maintaining course project plans, tracking on-time delivery of projects in collaboration with project sponsors and the design team.
  • Assist the L&D administration with creating and maintaining project documentation and reports.
Data Management and Evaluation
  • Support the data governance analyst to evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Assist with data monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide on-going support for quality assurance of data reports produced by UIUC L&D team.
  • Create, run, and disseminate reports of evaluation results to all relevant management staff.
Other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Travel RequirementsStatewide travel required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Communication, or a field related to the position. Demonstrated editorial experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Editorial experience with digital capabilities in education, instructional design, and/or training teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data collection and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficiency in educational and technical writing. Strong writer with attention to detail.
  • Excellent digital adaptability skills to support a wide range of projects styles, including engaging online presentations, versatile multimedia support, and innovation web communications.
  • Innovative and solutions-oriented thinker, as well as have excellent communication skills.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5001 - Program Assistant position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes. The collective bargaining agreement sets a range of $21.95/hourly ($42,802.50/annual) - $32.64/hourly ($63,648/annual). The budgeted annual salary for this position is $26.88/hourly ($52,416/annual) – $27.69/hourly ($54,000/annual). This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization. Hybrid work options may be available for this position with the ability to be on-site as needed per the University's Workplace Flexibility policy.
