Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Location: Rogers Park
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office; 2 days remote

The Learning and Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Trilogy Inc.’s mission by enhancing employee development and organizational effectiveness. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating impactful learning programs that align with strategic goals and promote a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Learning and Development Specialist also supports internal communication efforts related to training and engagement, helping staff connect with Trilogy’s values and purpose.

Responsibilities:

Learning and Development
  • Design and deliver targeted training programs that support employee development and performance.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluate training effectiveness using surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops, seminars, and training sessions in both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Assist to oversee the day-to-day training operations, i.e. management of learning management system (LMS) and other logistics
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify learning needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure learning programs remain relevant and effective.

Communication and Engagement
  • Develop clear and engaging training materials, guides, and internal communications to support learning initiatives.
  • Promote learning opportunities across the organization through newsletters, intranet updates, and other internal channels.
  • Support messaging strategies that enhance employee understanding of development programs and organizational goals.

Inclusivity and Respect
  • Promote a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities
  • Support initiatives that raise awareness of mental health and employee well-being.

Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare reports on training outcomes, employee engagement, and program effectiveness for leadership review.
  • Use data and feedback to continuously improve learning strategies and communication efforts.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development or a related role, preferably within the mental health care or nonprofit sector.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
 
Preferred Competencies:
  • Experience with project management and organizational development.
  • Familiarity with DEI principles and nonprofit environments.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Certifications such as CPLP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar are a plus.
