Banesco USA is seeking a Learning & Development Manager for our Human Capital business unit.
The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for employees within the organization. This role involves working closely with various departments to identify training needs, designing engaging and effective learning solutions, and ensuring that training initiatives contribute to employee development and organizational goals. The Training Manager may also supervise a team of trainers or specialists.
Primary Job Duties:
- Collaborate with department managers and Human Capital (“HC”) to identify current and future training needs based on performance gaps, new initiatives, and organizational changes.
- Create engaging and effective training content using various methodologies, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, on-the-job training, workshops, and blended learning approaches.
- Plan and organize training sessions, ensuring efficient scheduling, communication to participants, and appropriate resource allocation (e.g., venues, materials, equipment).
- Facilitate and deliver training programs to employees, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience. This may include both in-person and virtual delivery.
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Analyze data and report on training outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, including attendance, completion rates, and evaluation results. Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) effectively.
- Identify and select appropriate training materials, tools, and external resources when necessary.
- Work closely with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Research and stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in training and development.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of onboarding programs for new employees.
- Ensure that training programs adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and management of the training budget for assigned programs or areas.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to a team of trainers or training specialists.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to build rapport and work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to identify training needs and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to design and implement effective training evaluations and analyze data.
- Proficiency in learning technologies, e-learning authoring tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to manage training projects within timelines and budget.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop training staff.
- Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
- Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Seven (7) to Ten (10) years designing, developing, and delivering training programs. Previous experience in Banking is a plus.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is often preferred.
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
- Knowledge of banking processes, operations and/or policies is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible to change; comfortable with ambiguity when dealing with new tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, working with integrity and ethically, upholding the organizational values.
- Strong presentation skills to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently ensuring timely deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in daily tasks ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.
