SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Manager to serve as the face of Learning & Development at HBK, driving strategic training initiatives across our domestic US and India operations. This role will lead the transformation of our learning culture by developing comprehensive training programs, coordinating with technical trainers, and ensuring consistent professional development opportunities for all employees across the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, training, or human resources
  • Experience in professional services, public accounting, or similar client-service environments preferred
  • Professional certification in training and development (CPLP, CPTD, or similar)
  • Proven track record of managing complex training programs across multiple locations
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with virtual training platforms and e-learning technologies
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • International training or global workforce experience
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse, global teams
  • Proficiency in LCVista Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience with virtual meeting and training platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with training evaluation methods and metrics
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
  • Consultative approach to identifying and solving training challenges
  • Experience with competency modeling and development
  • Experience transitioning from self-paced to instructor-led training models
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% domestically to HBK locations for training delivery and program implementation.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain the annual training calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives and employee development needs
  • Partner with organizational leaders to identify training gaps and create targeted learning solutions
  • Lead the strategic initiative to transition from LinkedIn Learning to live and more virtual business and soft skills training programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and champion for all Learning & Development initiatives across the organization
  • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge learning technologies
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our 2 technical trainers to ensure seamless coordination of all training initiatives
  • Facilitate communication between technical trainers and business stakeholders
  • Integrate technical training components into broader professional development programs
  • Support technical trainers in curriculum development and delivery optimization
  • Work with CPCO on the development and rollout of organizational core competencies framework
  • Design training programs that align with identified core competencies
  • Create assessment tools and metrics to measure competency development progress
  • Collaborate with HR and department heads to integrate competencies into career development pathways
  • Partner with managers and HR to identify performance improvement opportunities through targeted training
  • Develop recommendations for specific training interventions for employees with identified skill gaps
  • Create individualized development plans that address performance deficiencies
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of performance-based training initiatives
  • Plan and execute annual training programs for different employee levels (staff, senior, manager, etc.)
  • Coordinate with external training providers and internal subject matter experts
  • Manage training logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation for large-scale training events
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and ROI for annual programs
  • Design and implement strategies to deliver consistent US-based training content to India-based employees
  • Ensure equitable access to professional development opportunities across all geographic locations
  • Adapt training delivery methods to accommodate different time zones and cultural contexts
  • Collaborate with India leadership to understand local training needs and compliance requirements
