Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
 
Role Summary: The Learning & Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of continuous learning and service excellence across the agency. Reporting to the VP of Organizational Quality & Impact, this position is responsible for identifying training needs, maintaining compliance with training regulations, administering the Learning Management System (LMS), and developing impactful training programs. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Specialist supports agency initiatives, drives employee development, and ensures alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.

 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and support a culture of learning by guiding staff and leveraging system features to meet organizational needs.
  • Identify training needs, develop curriculum, and coordinate agency-wide trainings in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor and audit training compliance with all agency contracts and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate learning records and documentation.
  • Support agency initiatives leadership development through curated and custom training content.
  • Promote service quality by tracking learning outcomes, supporting accreditation efforts, and analyzing data to guide continuous improvement.

 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience working in an office environment, with direct HR, Learning & Development, Training, or OD experience required
  • Experience with Relias is highly preferred
