Learning Facilitators at Pearson are responsible for delivering high-quality professional development (PD) to K-12 districts, supporting educators in the implementation of assessment and instructional products, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. The role is dynamic, requiring adaptability, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Facilitators work closely with Professional Development Managers, Partner Success Managers, Assessment Consultants and other internal teams to align training with customer needs and product updates. Learning Facilitators must be available to deliver at least two to four 3-hour PD sessions per month (though sessions are assigned based on need). Be prepared to devote about 30 hours per month (synchronous and asynchronous).

Key Responsibilities:

Professional Development Delivery (80%)
  • Deliver instructionally sound product training to customers using a variety of learning mediums (onsite and web-based).
  • Engage participants, facilitate interactive sessions, and adapt delivery to meet diverse educator needs.
  • Ensure all delivery aligns with current product features, audience goals, and customer feedback.

Preparation & Content Development (10 %)
  • Prepare for sessions by reviewing customer needs via an initial consultation call, modifying off-the-shelf materials, collaborating with internal team members, and coordinating logistics.
  • When assigned, collaborate with content leads and product teams to ensure training materials are accurate, accessible, and aligned with platform updates.

Collaboration & Communication (5%)
  • Work closely with Professional Development Managers, Partner Success Managers, and other internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and follow-up.
  • Participate in monthly PD meetings, onboarding activities, and team-building exercises.
  • Provide feedback to improve training content and delivery processes.

Operational & Administrative Tasks (2.5 %)
  • Accurately track work hours and tasks on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date availability and communicate scheduled time off to managers and schedulers.

Professional Growth & Compliance (2.5%)
  • Complete all required compliance PD and mandatory trainings.
  • Engage in ongoing skill development and peer learning.
  • Attend or review recordings of monthly meetings and participate in feedback activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, School Psychology, or a closely related field required; master's degree in educational leadership, special education or similar preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in educational leadership (Instructional Coach, Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, SPED director, etc.)
  • Experience delivering professional development to educators in a variety of learning formats.
  • Fluent in assessment literacy; ability to apply data-based decision making at a technical and applied level to any educational product.
  • Expertise in Social-Emotional Learning/Wellness, Skills-based Measurement OR Standards-based Measurement highly preferred.
  • Understanding and demonstrated ability to apply adult learning concepts to professional development delivery. Excited and eager to apply engagement tools and strategies to excite learners.
  • Ability to travel extensively during peak seasons (July-October).

Compensation Structure for Per Diem Roles
  • Day Training Sessions: ~$110 per hour
  • Training Preparation for Execution: ~$55 per hour
  • Administrative Work: ~$30 per hour

These roles are offered on an as-needed basis, with hours that may vary depending on our operational needs. Please note, compensation is provided only for hours worked and these positions do not include the benefits associated with full-time employment.
