SUMMARY
The LMS Administrator manages NASPO’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a high-performing, stable platform that supports Procurement U’s learners and the Professional Development Team’s mission. This role combines day-to-day support with deeper system administration responsibilities, including cross-platform integration, advanced analytics, and strategic improvements. As a main point of contact for many learners, this role also shapes initial impressions and delivers exceptional, personalized support, requiring deep knowledge of NASPO’s structure, programs, and offerings. The LMS Administrator blends technical expertise with a learner-first mindset, manages cross-system integrations, and uses data analysis to drive decisions, improve the user experience, and support learner success and program growth.  The LMS Administrator is part of the eLearning team and operates as part of the larger Procurement U and Professional Development staff ecosytems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·      Manage the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the LMS platform (Absorb).

·      Collaborate with team members to support customer service needs as they arise, helping ensure Procurement U learners have a positive experience with courses and professional development resources.

·      Manage and take ownership of all self-paced and instructor led training course setups in the LMS.

·      Maintain and optimize the Salesforce-based Procurement U support ticketing system to track and resolve learner issues efficiently.

·      Lead the integration of the LMS with external systems (e.g., Salesforce, other CRMs, content libraries, analytics tools, API connections, etc.).

·      Conduct system audits to ensure data integrity, user accessibility, and platform compliance.

·      Build and automate complex dashboards and custom reports using LMS analytics tools, and Salesforce/other CRM data.

·      Analyze trends in learner engagement, course performance, and system usage to identify areas for improvement.   

·      Translate data insights from learner behavior, system usage, and performance trends into actionable improvements in platform structure, course design, and learner engagement strategies.

·      Serve as technical lead for new features, beta testing, and platform enhancements.

·      Research and deploy emerging technologies (e.g., AI for learner personalization, LRS/xAPI integration).

·      Provide strategic input on LMS structure, user segmentation, and content architecture to improve reporting accuracy and learner experience.

·      Partner with instructional designers and ILT staff to align LMS capabilities with course development needs and learning objectives.

·      Act as a key contact with the LMS provider (Absorb) for escalated issues, upgrades, and customizations.

·      Utilize project management tools, preferably Asana, to independently manage projects, organize tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion of team initiatives.

·      Provide training and support to internal staff and stakeholders on LMS functionality, data interpretation, and Salesforce reporting to improve data literacy and system use.

·      Ensure accreditation compliance through accurate records, usage tracking, and certificate/badge management.

·      Maintain clear and updated documentation, SOPs, and learner support resources.

·      Support customer service operations by handling high-level troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.

·      Assist with pre-event, onsite, and post-event logistics of conference sessions and instructor-led training programs.

 
APPROXIMATE TRAVEL TIME: 5% of the year (2-3 trips)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Instructional Technology, Data Analytics, or related field. Master’s preferred.

·       5+ years of experience administering an LMS (Absorb preferred), including advanced reporting and analytics.

·       2+ years of experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) in tandem with an LMS.

·       Experience with learning data standards (SCORM, xAPI, LRS) required.

·       Experience with LMS integrations via API preferred.

·       Demonstrated ability to communicate technical data clearly to non-technical audiences.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office tools

·       Prior association experience preferred but not required.

·       Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, preferred.

·       Skills and knowledge of Articulate 360 or other instructional design tools preferred.
