Learning Skills Coordinator Full Description

Job Description Summary

​Reporting to the Associate Director of Learning Success, the Learning Skills Coordinator (LSC) will provide academic coaching services through a wide range of programming and interventions, including individual consultations, small-group workshops, online training, and social media. The LSC will collaborate with units and offices that provide tutoring and student support, assisting with training and assessment as needed. The LSC will also coordinate with academic advising units and campus partners to collaboratively provide holistic support for students who are struggling academically.

Physical Demands: 
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. The ability to travel across campus to various meetings and functions relevant to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) year of professional administrative or coordinator experience.

Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of best practices in organization, administration, and customer service.
Knowledge of proper protocol in dealing with confidential information.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
