Job Summary/Basic Function | The Learning Support Coordinator coordinates the Academic Peer Coaching program. This position also coordinates the training programs for Supplemental Instruction (SI) and Learning Assistants (LA). Additionally, this position coordinates Starfish data collection for Learning Support and Academic Support. This includes: Under the leadership of the SI/LA Coordinator, coordinate training for Supplemental Instruction Leaders and Learning Assistants, maintain training standards that are aligned with national standards for these programs, and ensure all student staff are trained Coordinating the Academic Peer Coaching program, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advertising, program development, and producing the C.O.A.C.H. Podcast. Serving as a Starfish Tenant Admin for Learning Support, ensuring effective use of Starfish across all areas of Learning Support and ASCP. This person also collaborates with the Stewart Library on Starfish data collection.
This position will also serve on additional Academic Affairs and/or university-wide committees as needed.
Required Qualifications | Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 2 years of experience working in education
Preferred Qualifications | Preferred: Experience working in higher education Degree in education or STEMKnowledge of theory and practice in peer education programs, including tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and Learning Assistants Experience working in the field of learning support (tutoring, peer education)
