JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Lehigh County Extension 4-H is seeking applicants for a part-time program assistant.
Job duties to include:
  • Assist in planning and delivering 4-H school enrichment programs and activities
  • Assist in program marketing and promotion for outreach to new youth audiences
  • Assist in coordination, communication, and supervision for 4-H members and their families in programs
     
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
  • Possess an understanding of child and youth development and be able to effectively teach and interact with youth
  • Knowledge of educational principles and necessary presentation preparation skills
  • Familiarity with the 4-H program
  • Good communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in education, science, engineering or volunteer development
  • Operation of a motor vehicle as part of job duties
Schedule:
  • Part time up to 20 hours per week between 8 am and 4 pm
  • Occasional evening and weekend commitments
     
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $20/hour.
 
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESThis position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
